The Commission closed its investigation after concluding that there was insufficient evidence to show that payments or other incentives were made or offered to members of the Brockton Police Department related to the timing of retirement decisions.
The Commission opted not to conduct an investigation at this time regarding the City's decision not to participate in the upcoming Police Captain's promotional examination but remined the City of its obligation to ensure a fair and impartial process regarding police promotions.
