Since the Appellant has also filed a discrimination complaint with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Civil Service Commission is dismissing this appeal until MCAD has issued a final decision on the Appellant’s complaint.
The Commission allowed the appeal of a candidate bypassed for appointment for police officer based on his driving history and prior employment history as the Boston PD was either unable to support the reasons for bypass or show a connection between the reasons and the candidate's current ability to serve.
Reclassification appeal denied. The Appellant was unable to show that she performed the level distinguishing duties of a Child Support Enforcement Specialist II a majority of the time.
