Order of Dismissal

On May 7, 2025, the petitioner Jill Casey failed to appear for a scheduled hearing on her appeal. On that day, a program coordinator for DALA called and reached Ms. Casey, who confirmed that she knew about the hearing, but said that she was on vacation in Greece and would call DALA when she returned. Ms. Casey had not asked DALA for a continuance of her hearing or told DALA that she would be on vacation and would not appear at the hearing.

Also on May 7, 2025, Ms. Casey was ordered to show cause why her appeal should not be dismissed for lack of prosecution. On May 8, 2025, she emailed in part:

You all continue to want more stress and time from someone who deserves only what others before me got!... I’m in Greece a[nd] refuse to stress another second over your continued denials.  Sad hearing how our Mass tax dollars got to illegals and NOT. Those who deserve it, Veteran’s and dedicated retirees.

Ms. Casey has failed to prosecute her appeal and has not shown good cause why it should not be dismissed. I dismiss her appeal.
