Order of Dismissal

This is an appeal from a decision by the Department of Early Education and Care (“EEC”) denying Ms. Shepard’s application for a license. The matter was originally scheduled for a pre-hearing phone call on March 20, 2025. An attorney for EEC indicated that she could not be present that day and asked that we reschedule. After an exchange of e-mails, the parties all agreed they were available March 17, 2025. I thus rescheduled the hearing for that day and notified the parties by e-mail. However, Ms. Shepard did not call into the scheduled phone call. I therefore issued an order to show cause Ms. Shepard to provide sufficient evidence in writing by April 25, 2025 as to why she failed to appear and why the matter should not be dismissed. Ms. Shepard failed to respond to the order.

Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that the appeal is DISMISSED
