Petitioner Amarilis Noes Ventura appeals from the Department of Early Education and Care’s (EEC) determination that, after a background record check, her husband, Jairo Rivera, is not a suitable household member. I continued the April 7, 2026, hearing so that Petitioner could find an attorney.
Having not heard from the Petitioner since the continuance, on May 6, 2026, I ordered her to file a status report by May 15, 2026. On May 7, 2026, EEC notified DALA that, “as of April 15, 2026 Ms. Amaryllis Ventura, and her HHM Mr. Jairo Rivera have been updated in EEC’s system as suitable rendering this DALA matter moot.”
I agree and accordingly dismiss the appeal as moot.
