Docket Number: | CR-19-0311 |
This is an appeal by the Petitioner of the State Board of Retirement’s denial of his application to purchase prior military service. After a decision, the matter was remanded by CRAB due to the passage of the HERO Act. Following remand, I issued an Order to Show Cause asking why the appeal was not moot. The Board has indicated that it agreed the Petitioner was now eligible to purchase his prior service and issued him a bill. The Petitioner acknowledges he received the bill and has entered into an installment plan to pay it. The Petitioner has not, however, explained why his appeal should remain open. I find that the Petitioner has received the relief he sought with this appeal.
Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that the appeal is DISMISSED as moot.
