Docket Number: CR-24-0707
  • Petitioner: Gayl Hurley
  • Respondent: Massachusetts Teachers’ Retirement System
  • Administrative Magistrate: James P. Rooney

Order of Dismissal

Petitioner Gayl Hurley appeals from the Massachusetts Teachers’ Retirement System’s denial of her request to purchase prior creditable service for work performed as a student office assistant while she was a student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell .  On July 21, 2025, I sent her an order to show cause why her appeal should not be dismissed due to her failure to submit a memorandum by April 2, 2025 as ordered. I gave her until August 22, 2025 to respond.  No response was received.

Accordingly, this appeal is dismissed for failure to prosecute.  801 CMR 1.01(7)(g)3.
