Order of Dismissal

On May 9, 2025 the Office of the Attorney General – Fair Labor Division (FLD) cited Petitioners Karen Shiyun Lei and Honey Honey, Inc. with failure to post and/or distribute required earned sick time workplace notice from June 1, 202 through August 20, 2024, without specific intent.  The FLD assessed a civil penalty of $2,500.00.  Petitioners timely appealed.  After a pre-hearing conference, a hearing was scheduled.

On November 25, 2025, the parties submitted a comprehensive joint pre-hearing memorandum and proposed exhibits.  On the next day, however, the FLD notified the petitioners and DALA that it had vacated the citation that was the subject of this appeal.

The petitioners have now received all the relief they could have gotten if the appeal went forward.  The appeal is therefore moot, and it is appropriate to dismiss it.  The DISMISSAL will become final on December 12, 2025, unless by that date Ms. Lei files 

a request to keep the appeal open and states what issues remain to be resolved.  If Ms. Lei agrees with the dismissal, she need take no action.
