The study evaluated the current funding for airport safety and preservation projects, and measured the employment, payroll and economic output that aviation brings to the Commonwealth and the host communities.

The Economic Impact Study is performed every 3-5 years to determine the impact (direct and indirect) of our Airports on local, regional, and state economies. The study evaluated the current funding for airport safety and preservation projects, and measured the employment, payroll and economic output that aviation brings to the Commonwealth and the host communities. The Aeronautics Division is currently updating the Economic Impact Study; the final report should be available in December 2018.
