Economic Impact Study

The study evaluated the current funding for airport safety and preservation projects, and measured the employment, payroll and economic output that aviation brings to the Commonwealth and the host communities.

The Economic Impact Study is performed every 3-5 years to determine the impact (direct and indirect) of our Airports on local, regional, and state economies. The study evaluated the current funding for airport safety and preservation projects, and measured the employment, payroll and economic output that aviation brings to the Commonwealth and the host communities. The Aeronautics Division has updated the Economic Impact Study; the final report is available below.
