2025 Military Appreciation Day

The Executive Office of Veterans Services (EOVS) proudly hosts the first annual Military Appreciation Day on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Massachusetts State House in Gardner Auditorium. This event celebrates, honors, and recognizes the sacrifices and contributions of our military community in Massachusetts.

What is Military Appreciation Day?  

Military Appreciation Day allows us to express our gratitude to service members, veterans, and military families who have made significant sacrifices for our Commonwealth and country. Each State Representative and State Senator can nominate a member of the military community from their district—whether an active-duty service member, veteran, or military spouse—to be honored at this special event.

How Can You Help? 

We respectfully ask each legislator to nominate one individual from their district to receive recognition on Military Appreciation Day. Your nomination significantly enhances this event. Eligible nominees include service members, veterans, or military spouses who have made noteworthy community contributions.

All honorees will receive invitations to attend the ceremony on May 22, 2025. We will provide more details about the event schedule closer to the date.
