46th Annual Legislative Reception

Please join The Arc of Massachusetts (The Arc) and the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council (MDDC) on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 for the 46th Annual Legislative Reception. The theme for the reception this year is “Reaffirming Our Commitment to Those in Need.”

We are excited to announce this year’s Legislator of the Year Awardees. MDDC will be honoring Senator Jo Comerford (Hampshire, Franklin, and Worcester districts) and The Arc will be honoring Representative John Lawn (10th Middlesex district). Both Senator Comerford and Representative Lawn are tireless advocates for people with disabilities.

We anticipate several hundred citizens, family members, and staff in the disability field will attend, as well as numerous elected and appointed officials. American Sign Language (ASL) will be provided, as well as CART. Accommodations must be requested by February 22.

There will also be a special addition to this year’s program. Past award recipients will receive a custom “Disability Legislative Champion” lapel pin as further recognition of their continued commitment to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
