Overview of Engaging in Family Discussions About Race and Racism

This workshop will offer suggestions for helping to raise children’s racial awareness in a manner that acknowledges their cognitive and socioemotional development. Strategies for proactively using engagement and activities at home in order to communicate with children about race and racism, and cope with racial stressors will be presented.
