Join us for a 3.4-mile moderate out/back hike on Quabbin’s west side of the watershed. We will be walking down to the water on a dirt road through the forest. Walking to the water, the hike covers 1.7 miles and drops 600 ft. in elevation. We will then backtrack uphill and head back uphill the way we came in.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring water and snacks. MICROspikes or YAKTRAX that fit over your footwear, for increased traction, are recommended if snow or ice is expected on the ground.
Hike begins at Quabbin Reservoir’s Gate 11. The parking area is located on the east side of Rt. 202 (Daniel Shays Highway) in Pelham. https://goo.gl/maps/Qkbja7fFy1Ki9BAU7
