Overview   of Let Go of Disability Stigma

A blue banner with black text that states "Greetings from a future WITHOUT STIGMA by MassAbility" and "We're letting go of disability stigma, together".

Join us for a powerful event dedicated to breaking disability stigma and fostering a more inclusive community.

Stigmas create barriers and affect those living with and without disabilities.

A mockup of what the "letting go of disability stigma" cube will look like at the event. People have written messages on the cube about what disability stigma means to them.

Let's come together to confront and say goodbye to these stigmas, so we can focus on living fully, free from judgment. This interactive event will feature a giant, four-sided cube on City Hall Plaza, where participants can stop by and share handwritten notes about letting go of disability stigma.

Be part of the movement! Stop by any time on December 10 between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to leave your message.

A world where disability stigma doesn't exist is a world that we want to live in.

What to expect

This is a pop-in event located right outside of the Government Center T stop in City Hall Plaza. Visitors can come and stay for as little or as long as they’d like to leave a message, read what others wrote, and send a postcard to friends/family.

A cube-shaped installation will feature handwritten statements about how people let go of disability stigma and additional art, paper and writing utensils will be available.

There will be postcards available with more information about the project and a call to let go of disability stigma to send to friends and family. Stamps will be available so postcards can be taken home or mailed at the end of the day.
