Making social media part of your content strategy

Thursday, June 12, from 2 pm to 3 pm. Note: To register you will need a free, basic Zoom account. Link follows in the description.

Overview

People are increasingly turning to social media for information, particularly younger audiences. It’s important that state agencies maintain social media networks to meet this audience where they are with timely, trustworthy information. Equally important is making sure the information shared is inclusive and accessible to all users.

Using social media is good content strategy, too. You can use it to gather feedback, recruit participants for user testing or surveys, and show your audiences you’re using all available channels to reach them.

During this session, we will cover:

  • Writing for social media
  • Accessibility best practices
  • Adding graphics/videos to posts

There will be a workshop component as well.
