Public Meeting Notice MassDOT Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan open house - 10/28/24
Overview of MassDOT Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan open house - 10/28/24
An Open House will be hosted as part of a series of public events regarding MassDOT’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure Deployment Plan as required by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with updates on MassDOT’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure Deployment Plan. There will be opportunities for public comments and questions following the formal presentation.
Proposal:
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Deployment Plan will strategically deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and will establish an interconnected network to facilitate reliability across Massachusetts as required by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s NEVI Formula Program. Massachusetts will receive significant federal funding over five years to support the construction and operation of Direct-Current Fast Charging (DCFC) stations along major highway corridors as designated by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Public involvement throughout the duration of the Plan’s implementation is essential for understanding community interests, needs, and sentiments.
Project inquiries, written statements and other exhibits regarding the Program may be submitted to Carrie E. Lavallee, P.E., Chief Engineer, via e-mail to MassDOTProjectManagement@dot.state.ma.us or via US Mail to Suite 7550, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA 02116, Attention: Project Management, NEVI Program. Statements and exhibits intended for inclusion in the meeting notes must be emailed or postmarked no later than ten (10) business days (14 calendar days) after the meeting is hosted on the MassDOT website listed below.
