Navigating the Designer Selection Network: The New Municipality Portal

Simone Early, Executive Director presented to the MAPPO Community of Public Purchasing Officials new resources for designer procurement for municipalities and other public agencies not under DCAMM purview. The presentation covered an overview of the Designer Selection Network (DSN) for municipalities to advertise, receive applications, review applications, and perform legislative evaluations. The new portal will also allow municipalities to use the DSN as an archive for past projects and awards as well as facilitate a more fluid designer evaluation process. Simone also reviewed the definition of designers  as defined  by M.G.L. Chapter 7C and other relevant legislation for designer procurement.
