Massachusetts Technical Rescue Coordinating Council

Per Governor Charles D. Baker’s Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, s.20 signed and dated March 12, 2020, a meeting of the Massachusetts Technical Rescue Coordinating Council will be conducted on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, and open to the public, via teleconference at 1-866-916-2030 pass code 7460297# beginning at 2:00 p.m.

  1. Meeting Opening and Introductions
  1. Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting held on January 28, 2020.
  1. Old Business
    1. Review, discuss, and potential vote of agreed upon Vision and Mission Statement language.
    2. Discuss surveys distributed to District Team Leaders.
    3. Review, discuss, and potential vote the borders of the Regions.
    4. Discussion/Vote on Regional Steering Committees member qualifications, and duties/responsibilities.
    5. Discussion on status and needs of each regional team.

    1. COVID PPE for Tech Rescue Teams.
    2. Discuss council vacancy for the position of Member of Technical Rescue Team on behalf of all

Statewide Technical Rescue Regions

    1. Strategic steps to move forward
      • Discuss creation of Standing Subcommittees (Training, Equipment, Credentialing)
      • Build a budget for future funds to support the Regional Teams with training/equipment
      • Create and/or Adopt a Statewide Operational Guide
      • Develop a uniform code of conduct for Team Members.
    2. Discussion on amphibious vehicles.
  1. Any matters not reasonably anticipated by the Chair.

  1. Determination of future meeting date(s).
