Fresh air, three home-cooked meals a day, comfortable sleeping quarters and a private hospital - sounds like a delightful retreat...for a prison?? Indeed, it was! Join DCR staff as we explore the remains of this surprisingly successful social experiment.
Ticks may be active so protection is advised.
Due to winter road conditions the camp will be inaccessible by vehicle, so the hike will meet at the gate at Intervale Road and walk the 0.5 miles into the camp. Parking is limited. The roundtrip from the gate to the camp and back will add approximately one mile over easy footing to the regular camp hike making the entire hike approximately 2 miles,
