What you need for Apply for a Special Use Permit

An FBA Special Use Permit is required for any organized events that take place at any FBA facility. This includes, but is not limited to, events such as fishing tournaments, canoe and kayak races, sailing events, boat parades, ice fishing events, etc. You can apply for a Special Use Permit by filling out this application form online.

If you plan to use the parking area and/or the boat ramp for your event, you need a permit regardless of the size of the event. Parking is limited to 50% of the available parking for the months of July and August, and 75% for the rest of the year.

Any event with more than 25 vessels will require you to hire an Environmental Police detail for the duration of the event.
