Apply for an Alcoholic Beverages Storage Permit (ABCC)

A permit authorizing a wholesaler, a farmer-brewer, a farmer-winery, or a manufacturer to store alcoholic beverages it is authorized to produce, sell and deliver.
Once an application is submitted via our eLicensing system, the typical turnaround time is 4 – 6 weeks.

What you need

To apply for a Storage permit pursuant to M.G.L. c. 138, § 20 you will need electronic copies of the documents listed below.

    If entity applying is a business:

  • Vote of the Corporate Board or LLC is required authorizing any transaction you are applying for.
  • Business Structure Documents: Articles of Organization, Partnership Agreement, Bankruptcy Documents, Estate Documents, Trust Documents or Business Certificate, are required depending on your corporate structure.

  • The Storage permit is a child permit, the "parent" license must be a licensed Wholesaler, Farmer Brewery, Farmer Distillery, or Farmer Winery.
  • A Wholesaler license permits the holder to store at the premise they choose. They do not need a Storage permit unless they wish to store are two locations.
