Apply to the Dairy Farmer Tax Credit Program

Are you a registered Massachusetts dairy farm? You may qualify for a state income tax credit based on production costs and milk pricing. It was implemented to offset the cyclical downturns in milk prices paid to dairy farms.
Completed applications must be received by MDAR no later than January 22, 2026.

What you need

To apply to the Dairy Tax Credit Program, you need to be a registered Massachusetts dairy farm.  

You will need the following information in order to complete the Disclosure Statement:

  • Taxpayer identification information
  • Shareholder information (if applicable)
  • Production report
  • Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) Certificate of Compliance
