If you own a text or voice-carry-over telephone, you're able to make phone calls and have our relay operators type their responses back to you.

How to request   Relay using voice-carry-over

Depending on what type of telephone you own, the process may be somewhat different.

For TTY Telephones

To start, you can call (866) 887-6619 for English or (866) 930-9252 for Spanish. Once the operator answers, please type "VCO PLS GA" to which the operator should confirm with "VCO ON GA". You can then say the phone number that you'd like to call but please say "GA" after to confirm you're ready to "go ahead". During your conversation, please be sure to use "GA" to indicate you're ready for a response.

For VCO Telephones

To start, you can call (866) 887-6619 for English or (866) 930-9252 for Spanish. Once the operator answers, you should press the button on your telephone that sends the message "VCO PLEASE GA" to the operator which should confirm with "VCO ON GA". You can then say the phone number that you'd like but please say "GA" after to confirm you're ready to "go ahead". During your conversation, please be sure to use "GA" to indicate you're ready for a response.
