Licenses are eligible for renewal on February 1st of every even-numbered year. The deadline for application submission is May 1st of the same year.

What you need   for Renew a Plumber, Gas Fitter, or Liquified Petroleum Installer License

Renewal applications must be submitted online. Applications mailed to the board will be returned. 

Journeyman and Master Plumber Licensees: 

12 hours of approved continuing education courses for plumbers with an approved provider.

Journeyman and Master Gas Fitter Licensees; Liquefied Petroleum Gas Installer Licensees:

6 hours of approved continuing education courses for gas fitters or undiluted liquefied petroleum gas installers with an approved provider.

The Board of Examiners collects a non-refundable renewal fee. 

Active military members, their spouses & military veterans may qualify for fee-reduction benefits under the Valor Act.

Gas Fitter Master Renewal $97 each
Liquified Petroleum Installer Renewal $66 each
Limited Liquified Petroleum Installer Renewal $52 each
Late Fee for all Renewals (Received after May 1st) $57 each

If your license is not available for renewal in EPlace during the renewal period, even if your license is correctly linked to your EPlace account, this may be due to a Department of Revenue hold. You may check your status with the Department of Revenue at this link. If you have no outstanding business with the Department of Revenue and your license is still not available for renewal, please contact the Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters.
