The Details   of Spotted Lanternfly Training

What you need   for Spotted Lanternfly Training

The Mass. Dept. of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) has created a training video for residents or businesses that have received a Notice of Abatement after finding spotted lanternfly on their property. You may be required to take this training if you are in any of the following categories:

  • Your business or residence has a confirmed infestation of spotted lanternfly, or is adjacent to a known infestation of spotted lanternfly
  • You found evidence of spotted lanternfly on goods or materials that were delivered to your business or residence, or your business is in or near a spotted lanternfly infestation and you regularly export good or materials to other states
  • Your place of work has requested that its employees to take this training as part of an agreement with MDAR

How to enroll   Spotted Lanternfly Training

This free training can be accessed through Zoom and is about 1 hour long. Use the "Register for the online training session" link above or click here to register and access this on-demand video. Each person that is required to take the training needs to register separately, otherwise MDAR will not be able to verify that you participated. 

Next steps   for Spotted Lanternfly Training

  1. Complete the Training

    Once you have completed the training, MDAR will verify your attendance. If there are any issues, we will contact you.

     

  2. Notice of Abatement Renewal

    A Notice of Abatement must be renewed each year. Depending on the current status of spotted lanternfly at the time of renewal, you may also be required to take another online training.
