Submit a Radioactive Waste Survey

The Division of Radiation Control tracks the nature and quantity of low-level radioactive waste produced in the Commonwealth each year by requiring all licensees to complete a survey.

What you need

To apply, you will need:

  • Radioactive Materials license number
  • Licensee name
  • Radiation Safety Officer
  • Contact information
  • Radioactive waste generated, storage, and disposal information in calendar year (Class A, B, C, or HVLA)
  • Waste minimization statement or plan, if updated from the previous year
  • A completed online application in the eLicensing system
  • Electronic payment of the survey fee

Fees

Submitting the Low-Level Radioactive Waste Survey includes a required fee. This fee is calculated based on the waste information reported in the survey, using the formula established in state regulations. Payment must be completed as part of the submission process in eLicensing.

How to submit

Go to the Environmental Health eLicensing Portal and create an account, or log into your existing account. If this is your first time using the portal, review the BCEH eLicensing System User Guide.
