What you need   for Verify a financial services licensee

To verify a financial services company or individual license you will need the following information:

  • Name
  • Company
  • Address (minimum city and state)

You may also look up a licensee using their NMLS Identification Number or License Number. 

How to find   Verify a financial services licensee

  • Visit the NMLS Consumer Access page
  • Fill out the box with:
    • Name, Company, City, State, Zip Code, NMLS ID, and/or License Number you would like to verify
  • Filter your search by state regulator or individual/company
  • Click on the licensee and verify it is authorized to conduct business in your state.
