The Details
What you need
The appealing party may withdraw an appeal that is pending before the Board of Review through Unemployment Services online, or by submitting a letter to the Board. A letter must include:
- A statement that you wish to withdraw your appeal to the Board of Review
- Names of the worker and employer
- Claimant ID number (if unknown, provide the worker’s Social Security number)
- Issue ID number
- If you are an employer that has filed the appeal, also include your DUA employer ID number
How to submit
Workers
- Log in to your Unemployment Services for Workers account
- On the Appeal Details panel, select View appeal
- Select Withdraw my appeal
- Follow the system prompts to withdraw your appeal.
Employers
- Log in to your Unemployment Services for Employers account
- On the Appeal Details panel, select View appeal
- Select Withdraw my appeal
- Follow the system prompts to withdraw your appeal.

Next steps
After a request for withdrawal is submitted
If a party withdraws the appeal on Unemployment Services, the online system will send a Notice of Withdrawal to both parties, and the appeal will be dismissed.
If a party withdraws the appeal by sending a letter, email, or fax to the Board of Review, the Board will mail both parties a Notice of Withdrawal, and the Board will dismiss the appeal on Unemployment Services.

An appeal that is pending before the Board of Review may only be withdrawn by the party that filed the appeal, or by that party’s representative.
Once an appeal is withdrawn from the Board of Review, the Hearings Department decision shall be the final decision.
A party that withdraws its appeal to the Board of Review may lose the right to further appeal to the District Court.
