2020 APS Minimum Standard Review Released
On July 20th, 2021, DOER released the 2020 APS Minimum Standard Review as required by 225 CMR 16.07(3).
APS Study and Stakeholder Questions Released
Per 225 CMR 16.07(3), the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) is conducting a review of the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard (APS). The primary areas of focus of the review include, but are not limited to:
- an examination of the costs and benefits of the program to ratepayers,
- an examination of the effectiveness of the program in meeting the energy and environmental goals of the Commonwealth, and
- an evaluation of whether the Minimum Standard or its rate of increase should be adjusted.
To assist in the APS review , DOER hired an independent consultant, Daymark Energy, LLC, to undertake an assessment of the APS program. The resulting study from Daymark Energy, LLC can be found below.
Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard Review
Additionally, to help inform the APS review DOER was required to conduct a public comment period. To meet this regulatory requirement, DOER released a set of questions and solicited responses from APS stakeholders and the public. The questions and stakeholder responses can be found below.
