About the Westfield Main Street (Route 20) Complete Street improvements

Project Background

This section of Main Street is a priority corridor because it was identified as having a high potential for everyday walking and biking. There is sidewalk on only one side of the roadway between Meadow Street and Delmont Ave., and minimal shoulders exist in many areas. The project team will review ways to improve pedestrian and bicycle travel along the corridor.

Public Outreach and Involvement

We want to hear about your experiences traveling on Main Street. Your input and feedback will help inform design decisions. Share feedback about your experience walking, biking, and taking transit on the Main Street corridor by using our interactive online map and comment form.

In keeping with CDC and Massachusetts statewide guidelines and orders for public gatherings, in-person public meetings have been put on hold for the time being. While public meetings are on hold, we are working to continue to raise awareness and answer questions about the project through virtual methods. We expect these to include virtual public meetings with presentations and Q&A sessions online.
