Do you continually recruit searching for ideal candidates? Alternative hiring options may be a good option to build your company’s workforce. Apprenticeships and On-the-Job Training (OJT) may be solutions to acquiring talent you seek.

Apprenticeships                             

Registered apprenticeships can produce skilled workers to meet your hiring needs in today’s global economy.​ While typical apprenticeship opportunities exist for the construction and trade occupations, other industries are taking advantage of this model!  Industries include manufacturing, technology and even healthcare!  Learn more here: Apprenticeships and contact your local MassHire Career Center.   

On-the-Job Training (“OJT”)​

Available through special grant opportunities, OJTs can:

  • Reduce the costs of hiring, training, and provide pre-screened job applicants​!
  • Provide customized training for new hires! ​
  • Reimburse your company a percentage of the wages; up to 75% while your new employee is in training! ​
