Overview

The DWSP grant program provides financial assistance to public water systems and municipal water departments for the purchase of land or interests in land for the following purposes: 1) protection of existing DEP-approved public drinking water supplies; 2) protection of planned future public drinking water supplies; or 3) groundwater recharge. It is a reimbursement program.

Please attend the online information session to learn more about the grant program. One online information session will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 13, 2025 via MS Teams.  Please email vanessa.farny@mass.gov by Friday, January 10, 2025 to register.

  • Maximum award: $350,000
  • Reimbursement rate: 60%
  • Grant bid release date: November 25, 2025
  • Grant deadline: March 7, 2025 at 3:00 PM
