Who can use Explore Bowhunting?
- Schools
- Town, city, or county recreation programs
- Nature and outdoor education centers
- Scout groups
- 4-H
- Summer camps
How do I start this program?
Attend a free 5-hour Explore Bowhunting instructor course. This can be done in one of two ways:
- Go to a quarterly training at MassWildlife Field Headquarters in Westborough
- If your school has 5 or more interested instructors, we will come to you!
The Explore Bowhunting instructor course will certify you to teach the 23 Explore Bowhunting lessons. Most of the 23 lesson plans are taught without the use of archery equipment. Archery equipment is not included in the loaner kit, if you are looking to include archery in your training you will have to be trained as a Basic Archery Instructor and will need to have your own archery equipment.
Cost
The instructor course is free. You can borrow equipment from MassWildlife for free on a first-come, first-serve basis.
