Grant description

EEC is conducting a competitive procurement to award grants to cities, towns, regional school districts or educational collaboratives for the purpose to engage communities in collaborations between public school districts and EEC-licensed early education programs to explore ways to expand local access for 3- and 4-year-olds and provide opportunities for access to high quality care that meets the diverse needs of families in their communities.

EEC is looking to support districts working with local, EEC-licensed programs and other stakeholders to conduct needs assessments and develop a strategic plan for expanding local preschool access and building and aligning local preschool quality.

Who can apply

This is a competitive grant open to all vendors that are able to demonstrate through the submission of a successful grant application that they meet the priorities and required services as outlined in this grant application. Public School Districts, Regional School Districts, collaboratives, and rural districts are eligible to apply.

Preference will be given to:

1. Public school districts serving children in Gateway Cities.
2. Public school districts that have identified significant local gaps in preschool access.
