Fishing

Great Pond is primarily a trout fishing destination and has produced some holdover fish in the past. During mid summer, look for the trout to be holding at depths of 18 to 21 feet. Smallmouth bass up to 14 inches and a pound and a half are also present but warm water angling reports here are limited. Other nearby ponds are Pilgrim Lake in Truro and Gull Pond in Wellfleet.
