Description
Hoveys Pond is a 36-acre Great pond located in the Millbrook Conservation Area of of Main Street in the northwest portion of Boxford. Hoveys Pond has an average depth of 20 feet, a maximum depth of 64 feet and aquatic vegetation is restricted to a narrow ring hugging the shoreline of the pond. The shores are mostly undeveloped except some farm fields and a few houses set back from the water.
Recreational access
The town of Boxford manages the Millbrook Farm Conservation Area which has a gravel boat ramp suitable for cartop boats and a 10 car parking area at the end of a gravel access road off of Main St. in Boxford (get directions). High vegetation near the launch makes shore fishing difficult here. Please contact the town of Boxford for additional information and/or restrictions pertaining to public access of Hoveys Pond.
