Jake Baxter Seaburg

Jake was a kind and caring person who loved his family, friends and his job. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and cousin. With Jake, family came first. He loved spending time with them watching movies and especially sports. He loved the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and recently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as his favorite player was Tom Brady.

Jake was an athlete himself. He played youth baseball, football and wrestling and in high school was a champion wrestler at his weight class.

Although small in stature he had a heart as big as gold. He would do anything for those who needed his help, including driving 500 miles to help his grandmother with yard and tree work. He loved being an uncle and babysitting or just playing with his nieces and nephews whenever he could. His desire was to find that "special" person to spend the rest of his life with and have children of his own. He would have been a great father.

Some of his favorite times were sharing the love of his job with his dad. Like his father, he loved nature, landscaping and operating equipment. His dad describes him as an old soul in a young man's body.

His mom was extremely special to him. They were best friends that watched movies and sports together and loved to go bowling. She was his best friend, and he never went to bed without kissing her good night and saying "I love you".

One of Jake's favorite pastimes was cooking. He would watch his grandmother cook and began experimenting with recipes of his own. His grandmother would use Worcestershire sauce in just about everything she cooked. When he began preparing meals for his family, the first thing he did was pull out the bottle of Worcestershire sauce from the refrigerator. He took great pride in making delicious dinners for his family, so his mom would not have to cook every night when she got home from work.

Jake's life was cut short in a senseless stabbing. He was at a friend's house in New Hampshire and someone he had never met before stabbed him twice after a verbal altercation. The Attorney General of the State of New Hampshire chose not to prosecute his attacker, and so he walks free after devastating our whole family. No one who ever knew Jake and especially his family will ever be the same. Our lives are forever altered.
