General Statement of Duties

The duty of the Applications Developer is to create and maintain API data exchange processes and browser based applications using the Microsoft stack. The position helps drive efficiency through the expansion of data analysis and visualization software, along with workflow systems for Auditors and Investigators. Primary responsibilities include the design, development, testing, maintenance, and documentation for API, MS SQL, and web development.  The Applications Developer works within the Enterprise IT Applications Development group in close collaboration with network operations, and data analytics teams and may be requested to perform cross-functional duties where applicable.

This job is a temp-to-perm position.

Please note that in response to COVID-19, OSA has developed a hybrid work model. Beginning in January 2021, employees will be expected to work 40% of their work week in office, with 60% telecommuting. Also, as a requirement of employment, all OSA employees are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test weekly in order to access offices or worksites.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for analyzing, developing and maintaining data exchange services via API and the supporting data models. Develops and configures browser based applications and integrations with UI and on-premises / Cloud (SaaS/PaaS) applications. Additionally, as the enterprise moves key applications to cloud hosted and SaaS solutions, the position will help support the migration of key business applications to new or upgraded systems and security architectures. 

  • Design, code, and implement new technology solutions as part of a team, supporting one or more business systems
  • Develop and implement appropriate solutions using C#.Net and MS SQL for applications that allow collection, organization and visualization of data
  • Integrate or migrate on-premises applications to Azure/AWS cloud systems
  • Research and evaluate current and upcoming technologies and frameworks
  • Test code for defects; log, and fix errors or bugs.
  • Deploy code that meets OSA standards, compliances, and supported architecture
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Adhere to software development life cycle, analysis and design techniques
  • Identify and recommend areas for improvement along with possible solutions
  • Communicate relevant IT-related information to superiors and peers in other practices

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess and/or demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in programming with Microsoft SQL and C# .Net frameworks
  • Technical hands-on experience with API programming and ETL data exchange processes
  • Knowledge of Microsoft DevOps, Microsoft Visual Studio and or GitHub
  • Knowledge and experience working with information and security architectures
  • Enthusiastic to gain experience creating solutions with third-party SaaS and PaaS applications
  • Experience setting and accomplishing challenging goals
  • Interest in programming with Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Power Apps, Azure SaaS and PaaS solution integration for on premises and cloud based tenancy.
