Learn how to register for your organization

To get your fingerprints taken, you must register for an appointment on-line or by phone.

The SAFIS program processes state and national fingerprint based background checks for several agencies including the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), and Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE).  Each agency has specific applicant types.  If you do not know the correct agency, please contact the agency or organization that requested you complete the background check.

Acceptable forms of identification

Individuals will be required to show identification at the time of fingerprint capture.  Acceptable forms of identification are outlined in detail in the file below.
