Latest Information
On December 5, 2017, NRG Canal 3 Development LLC submitted a Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Emission Control Plan application for the new 350 megawatt simple-cycle electric generating combustion turbine the company is proposing on about 12 acres of the existing Canal Generating Station site on Freezer Road in Sandwich.
MassDEP issued a Proposed CO2 Emission Control Plan Approval on February 5, 2018.
The agency accepted public comment through February 28, 2018.
