Guidelines for Use of Part II Files

The files needed to create the Construction Drawings/Sketch Plans are posted here in both AutoCAD and PDF formats. The files intended only for viewing and not for the actual construction drawing/sketch plan creation are posted here in PDF format only.

The typical details at abutments have been divided between the Abutment and Wingwall (Chapter 4) and the Beam Detail Chapters (Chapters 8 through 11). The details that are associated with the abutment stem are shown in Chapter 4 with the superstructure details grayed out. Conversely, the beam detail chapters provide the details associated with the beam type and the details associated with the abutment stem are grayed out. It is the responsibility of the Designer to combine the relevant details together when preparing the Construction Drawings.

Standard Railings, Screens, Terminuses, and Highway Guardrail Transitions are a standard for all projects and thus, are a part of Part II Standard Details. They are intended for use mainly unchanged. However, certain information, such as detail and section numbers, construction drawing sheet number, etc. may have to be changed as required for a particular set of plans. The Section Symbol, the Subsequent Sheet Block, and the Federal Block are attribute blocks and may be edited by the user at any time as needed.
