Payment Information for CHCs

This section provides information about Community Health Center payments and rules, as well as billable procedure codes.

Community Health Center Payments and Rates

Health Safety Net Community Health Center (CHC) rates implement the requirements of Chapter 58 that specify that CHC payments from the Health Safety Net Trust Fund be based on the Medicare Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) patient visit rates. Reimbursement for other services is based largely on MassHealth fee schedules, as stated in regulation 101 CMR 614.00: Health Safety Net Payments and Funding. The mechanism for payment will be the monthly submission of the Payment Reporting Form (PRF) via HSN's Web-based transaction system.
