Project: Title V Needs Assessment

Organization: Bureau of Family Health and Nutrition

The intern will support the 5 years Title V needs assessment. Title V provides critical federal funding to serve pregnant people, infants, children, and families. To determine our funding, organizational and infrastructure priorities a needs assessment is conducted every 5 years. The intern will support phase 3 and 4 of this work which includes community engagement and internal planning to create a maternal and child health state action plan.  Intern will learn about conducting a needs assessment, working on federal grants, and action planning, as well as community engagement. 

Skills Required: Excel, qualitative and quantitative coding, writing skills, facilitation
Technology Required: Laptop
Work Arrangement: Remote 
Hours Per Week: 15
Preferred Eligibility: Students in Associates, Bachelors, and or Masters programs
Preferred Academic Experience: Public health, social work, majors related to social justice and related areas of study
