In 2022-23, the MEPA Office completed a digitization effort to covert all hard copy (paper) files to electronic records. As a result, MEPA records are no longer available in hard copy format, and members of the public should not visit the MEPA Office to request files.
Starting with the February 8, 2023 Environmental Monitor, full MEPA filings are available online directly through the Environmental Monitor. Click on the project name to view the filing, or click “View” to navigate to the submittal landing page with all associated attachments.
To review a MEPA project file prior to those submitted for the February 8, 2023 Environmental Monitor, send a request including the EEA# and project name to mepa@mass.gov. The MEPA Office will provide the file as a downloadable link to a searchable Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file. Please note that project files with assigned EEA#’s lower than EEA #10140 were originally stored on CD-ROM, and are in the process of being integrated with other MEPA electronic records. These older files are also available in searchable PDF format, but may take longer to retrieve.
