Small Wastewater Treatment Facilities General Permit

Facilities covered by the EPA Small Wastewater Treatment Facilities General Permit.

On December 1, 2021, the Massachusetts Small Wastewater Treatment Facilities (SWWTF) Surface Water Discharge (SWD) General Permit (GP) took effect. This permit covers facilities deemed eligible for coverage and authorized under the EPA Small Wastewater Treatment Facilities General Permit (SWWTP GP), MAG580000, who have been likewise authorized under the Massachusetts Small Wastewater Treatment Facilities Surface Water Discharge General Permit. Below is a listing of the eligible facilities and the effective date of their authorization. A copy of the General Permit, and Word and PDF versions of the generic authorization form, are also provided.
