The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) has partnered with the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS), the Executive Office of Technology Services and Security (EOTSS) and the MassCyberCenter to make grant funds available to support cybersecurity initiatives across the Commonwealth.  OGR's Federal Fiscal Year 2022 (FFY22) application for State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program funds was approved by the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).  As the Commonwealth's State Administrative Agency (SAA) for federal grant funds received from the Department of Homeland Security, OGR is responsible for managing and administering these funds.

OGR anticipates the release of the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program’s Availability of Grant Funds (AGF) in October 2023.  To receive notification when funding becomes available, as well as other funding opportunities, sign up for OGR's email list.

Massachusetts Cybersecurity Planning Committee

In accordance with terms of this federal grant program, the Massachusetts Cybersecurity Planning Committee was formed to guide allowable cybersecurity activities for the Commonwealth, its municipalities and other public entities.  The Committee is composed of stakeholder representatives and chaired by the Commonwealth's Chief Information Officer.  In the near term, the Committee will solicit input from local governments and public entities to inform and assist in guiding the SLCGP’s planning requirements.  This plan is expected to be completed by September of 2023.
