  • Active Minds empowers students to change the perception about mental health on college campuses. By developing and supporting chapters of a student-run mental health awareness, education, and advocacy group on campuses nationwide, the nonprofit organization works to increase students’ awareness of mental health issues, provide information and resources regarding mental health and mental illness, encourage students to seek help as soon as it is needed, and serve as liaison between students and the mental health community.

    Fresh Check Day aims to create an approachable atmosphere where students are encouraged to engage in dialogue about mental health. Fresh Check Day helps to build a bridge between students and the mental health resources and programs that exist on campus, in the community, and on a national level. Using a peer-to-peer messaging model, Fresh Check Day utilizes student groups in addition to college/university staff to develop and execute interactive booths that deliver mental health and resource information in a fun and engaging way.
  • MindWise Innovation
    MindWise on Campus Suicide Prevention for Students is an online training that can be offered to students as a 30-minute, self guided course or a 60-minute peer-to-peer training led by campus organizations such as Resident Advisors or student advocate groups. Developed by the creators of SOS Signs of Suicide, an evidence-based program trusted by thousands — MindWise on Campus uses video and interactive learning to teach students how to ACT (Acknowledge, Care, Tell) if they're worried about themselves or a friend.

  • The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) has a comprehensive list of resources for students, information on college campus data, developing a campus program, and a comprehensive list of resources and research.
  • ULifeline is an anonymous, confidential, online resource center, where college students can be comfortable searching for the information they need and want regarding emotional health.
