Who we serve
The Division of Violence and Injury Prevention (DVIP) funds a number of programs that provide direct services, technical assistance, support, outreach, education, training, and data collection to individuals, communities, and organizations across the state.
DVIP provides technical assistance and support to communities, as well as implements policies to reduce injuries and deaths caused by all forms of violence, suicide, prescription drug overdose, unintentional injuries, motor vehicles crashes, and sudden unexplained infant death.
DVIP is committed to stopping violence before it begins. The goal is to reduce the number of injuries and deaths caused by violence and injuries, and promote community resilience.
