The Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment (MOITI) promotes commerce with global partners in Massachusetts and around the world. Our office builds successful international partnerships that create economic development and investment.
MOITI recruits foreign investors by promoting the strengths of Massachusetts as a premier business and investment destination. And we prepare Massachusetts-based companies to work in global markets, including the export of goods and services.
MOITI is the Commonwealth’s business ambassador, welcoming foreign government officials interested in economic opportunities and investments to Massachusetts. MOITI is also the Commonwealth’s liaison to the diplomatic community and responsible for relations with foreign governments, trade agencies, and business entities.
In this role, MOITI introduces key elements of the state’s innovation economy and negotiates and implements agreements or Memoranda of Understanding with other countries and international agencies.
