Behavior Assessment Unit (BAU) Monthly

The Behavior Assessment Unit (BAU) houses individuals removed from general population due to unacceptable risk to facility safety and operations. While in the BAU, an interdisciplinary appraisal team identifies the underlying causes of behavior, defines the individual’s potential needs, and refers for placement to an appropriate setting required to meet those needs and create safer facilities. Individuals are offered a minimum of three hours outside of the cell daily, as well as access to meaningful wellness groups while in the BAU. If you have any questions on these reports please contact the Research & Planning Division.
